Tree bark ring in woodland style. With a 0,5 ct (6,5×3,5 mm) marquise shaped genuine transparent emerald (A quality, origin: Zambia) and two matching white cubic zirconia. Adjustable size. Made by hand in zilvera’s jewelry atelier.
Design and materials
The front of this tree bark ring has been cast by Delft casting method, with tree bark as a pattern for the texture. Then the sterling band has been soldered. Finally, I set three marquise-shaped stones: one emerald and two sparkling cubic zirconia. The emerald symbolizing the growth has been surrounded by two smaller cubic zirconia reminding of two water droplets.
This tree bark ring has been designed as one size. Owing to a 6 mm wide solid sterling silver band it fits comfortably all sizes between 16 and 20,5 (US 5,5 – 10.5). To preserve the shape the sizing has to be done carefully and using special tools: so please tell me the size at checkout.

Emeralds are fascinating gemstones. The name emerald comes from the Greek ‘smaragdos’ via the Old French ‘esmeralde’, and really just means ‘green gemstone’. In top quality, fine emeralds are even more valuable than diamonds. However, this is a misconception that all emeralds are expensive. Lower quality emeralds are quite affordable, so June people can always receive an affordable gemstone as a gift. The best emeralds come from Colombia. Fine emeralds are also found in other countries, such as Zambia, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, and Russia.
The green of the emerald is the color of life, beauty and constant love.
Emerald is so beneficial that naming its positive qualities would take many pages. However, one quality deserves a special mention: the stone is healing for the eyes and can improve eyesight.
The emerald is the stone of the months May, June, and July when the growth of nature is at the top of its power.
