Very classy, artisan opera length necklace, made with gemstones in different shades of green
– one 1 cm round green agate (moss agate)
– three 4×7 mm peridot chunks set in copper
– six 6 mm malachite beads on the chain

The oxidized copper base elements have been decorated with brass bubbles. All nicely polished, shining and covered with an anti-tarnish layer.
The pendant has been mounted on a 80 cm bronze chain. The chain has been finished with bronze findings and lobster clasp.

Green agate is actually a variety of moss agate.
Moss Agate is not banded, and therefore not strictly an Agate in scientific terms, but is included in the Agate family. Agate is a variety of Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. The stone very often has dendritic inclusions that have grown into patterns similar to moss or lichen. Spots of red may occur in some specimens, and occasionally the crystal is dark green with bluish inclusions. The latter is the green agate, which is also used in this piece.
Throughout history and all cultures, Moss Agate has been known as the crystal of gardeners and agriculture.
Metaphysically, Agate has a lower intensity and vibrates to a slower frequency than other stones, but is highly regarded as a stabilizing and strengthening influence. Agate is excellent for balancing emotional, physical and intellectual energy, and in harmonizing Yin and Yang, the positive and negative forces of the universe
