Green agate necklace copper, with peridot and mother of pearl, green leather chain, bronze clasp

This artisan necklace is an explosion of color Green. The main stone in this Green agate necklace copper is a 1 cm green agate cabochon. Other stones used here are peridot (aka olivine),  a chunk of a mother of pearl bead with green and orange inclusions and a mint green genuine freshwater pearl.

This boho necklace reminds of a sea plant growing deep under water.

Total pendant size is 4×3 cm.

All wrapped together with 1 and 0.5 mm copper wire. The wirework on the reverse side has been tested for ‘non-scratch’. Sealed with anti-tarnish to preserve the shine and prevent tarnish. Some copper parts will lose their shine with time, but the highlighted stones and pearls will keep on shining.

Green agate is actually a variety of moss agate.

Moss Agate is not banded, and therefore not strictly an Agate in scientific terms, but is included in the Agate family. Agate is a variety of Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. The stone very often has dendritic inclusions that have grown into patterns similar to moss or lichen. Spots of red may occur in some specimens, and occasionally the crystal is dark green with bluish inclusions. The latter is the green agate, which is also used in this piece.

Throughout history and all cultures, Moss Agate has been known as the crystal of gardeners and agriculture.

Metaphysically, Agate has a lower intensity and vibrates to a slower frequency than other stones, but is highly regarded as a stabilizing and strengthening influence. Agate is excellent for balancing emotional, physical and intellectual energy, and in harmonizing Yin and Yang, the positive and negative forces of the universe
